November 2, 1978— March 6, 2026
Corning, NY
Edward David Klawitter III passed away unexpectedly at his home on March 6, 2026, at the age of 47. Born on November 2, 1978, in Toledo, Ohio, he was the son of Edward D. Klawitter Jr. and Susan Anderson Klawitter. On July 9, 2016, he married Katie Rosenwinkel on the Eastern Shore of Virginia. Together they built a life centered on love, faith, and family, and were blessed with two sons, Carter and Wyatt, who meant everything to him.
David worked as a Children’s Care Manager for Pathways, Inc. in Corning, New York. He approached his work with patience, kindness, and a genuine desire to help others. Whether at work, at church, or among family and friends, he had a quiet way of making people feel cared for and valued. He attended Beartown Road Alliance Church, where his faith was an important part of his life.
David will be remembered as a gentle, compassionate, and thoughtful man. He had a sincere concern for others and often reached out simply to check in, offer encouragement, or wish someone a happy birthday. These small acts of kindness reflected the generous heart he carried. Above all, he loved his family. Being a husband and father brought him his greatest joy, and he cherished the time spent with Katie and their boys.
He is survived by his loving wife, Katie Klawitter; his sons, Carter and Wyatt; his mother, Susan Klawitter; his brother, Justin (Brooke) Klawitter; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was predeceased by his father, Edward D. Klawitter Jr. David’s kindness, quiet strength, and caring heart will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who knew and loved him.
