Edward “Ed” Breyak, 95, of Indiana Township, passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 12, 2026, surrounded by his loving family. Born on January 8, 1931, in Harwick, he was the son of the late Aniela and John Breyak.
A graduate of East Deer High School, Ed served in the United States Army during the Korean War. He built a successful architectural landscaping business and later learned to fly at the age of 55. Deeply committed to service, he served as president of the Oakmont Rotary and as a delegate for Rotary International. Ed cherished his collection of Corvette and Mustang convertibles and enjoyed traveling to Las Vegas and visiting Rivers Casino with his wife.
He is survived by his loving wife of 68 years, Dorothy Bossola Breyak; his children, Cynthia Diethrich (Paul), Michael Breyak (the late Armella), Linda Brush (Stephen), and Cheryl Rosewell (Rick); grandchildren Laurel Petraglia (Angelo), Lindsey Breyak Terihay (Alex), Lexie Brush Cassels (Cole), Davis Diethrich (Claudia Mauldin), and Lucas Brush (Katie Miller); and great-grandchildren Thomas Petraglia, Lilyanna Petraglia, and Kennedy Cassels. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Frank and William Breyak, and his sisters, Helen Duda, Josephine Pajerski, Sophia Pajerski, and Violet Breyak.
