He graduated from the Mapua Institute of Technology in the Philippines with a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering and began his career at the National Housing Authority. After immigrating to the United States, he continued his work as a maintenance technician at the Landings Club.As a child, Ed loved to sing and recite poems, which grew to a love for karaoke. A joker at heart, he brought laughter to those around him. He was especially handy around the house and enjoyed tackling do-it-yourself projects, finding satisfaction in building and fixing things with his own hands.He is survived by his wife, Celia Chua Espineli; sons, Edward Ian, and Edison Jason; daughter, April Marie; sisters, Lolita Valdez, Lily Castillo, Mely Sacdalan, and Zozima Fernandez; and four grandchildren. In addition to his father and mother, he is preceded in death by his brothers, Antonio, Conrado, and Roberto Espineli.A visitation will begin at 10:30 am, followed by a Memorial Mass at Fox & Weeks, Hodgson Chapel at 11:00 am on Saturday, February 28, 2026.To plant trees in memory, please visit the Sympathy Store.
