Edna Mae Thomas

Edna Mae Thomas (Bernesser), born on May 15, 1927, passed away on March 11, 2026, at the age of 98. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, William Thomas; her parents, Raymond and Edna Bernesser; and her four brothers.

Edna Mae is lovingly remembered by her daughter, Sandra (Carl Thomas); her grandson, Mark Bennardo (Jennifer); her stepdaughters, Susan Viviano and Nancy Imperatore; her sisters, Jean Harkiewicz and Patty Ruby; her brother, Donald Bernesser (Marilyn); and many cherished nieces and nephews.

She dedicated many years to her work at Joseph Horne’s (Macy’s) before retiring. In her later years, Edna Mae found quiet joy in mowing her lawn, getting her hair done, and caring for her three beloved cats. Her gentle presence and the love she gave will remain with her family and friends always.
