Edmund J. Cooper

Edmund J. Cooper, 100, passed away on March 11, 2026, at home surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of the late Edna M. (Gervais) Cooper. Born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, he was the son of the late Joseph and Anna (Tongue) Cooper.

A devoted family man, Edmund was the beloved father of Sharon A. Reynolds and the late Dawn M. Ferreira. He was the loving grandfather of Edmund J. Reynolds and his wife, Lisa, and the cherished great-grandfather of Alana, Jacob, Alexia, Eliza, and Dylan. He was also the proud great-great-grandfather of Troy and Layla.

Edmund worked for many years at St. Ann Cemetery of the Diocese of Providence before retiring. He served his country honorably in the United States Navy during World War II. He will be remembered for his quiet strength, steadfast devotion to his family, and the long life of service he lived.
