Edith Martin Puckett

Edith Rebecca Martin Puckett, age 77, of Hoschton, Georgia, passed away on March 11, 2026. She was preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Sarah Martin, her sister Martha Light, and her sister and brother-in-law Glenda and Tony Harrison.

She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Edward “Buster” Puckett, her son Alan (Bryna) Puckett, her daughter Amy (Steffon) Chastain, her grandchildren Alayna, Alden, Alora, and Allias Puckett, and Allyse (Caleb) Judson, her sister Vivian (James) Youngblood, her brother David (Joy) Martin, and many dear in-laws, nieces, nephews, and lifelong friends.

A devoted member of Crossview Church, Edith joyfully served as a Sunday School teacher, pianist, Ladies Ministry leader, church staff member, and in foreign missions. Her deep love for Christ was reflected in a lifetime of quiet, faithful service. She was always ready to bring a meal, offer a helping hand, share her musical gifts, or serve as a steadfast prayer warrior for those around her.

While her time on earth has ended, those who loved her find comfort knowing she is now in the arms of her Savior, reunited with those who went before her. In her memory, the family honors her longtime support of Straight Street Ministries and asks that donations be made to Crossview Church in Hoschton to continue its community mission.
