Edith Mae Davis was born on October 31, 1940, in Polk County, Iowa, and passed away on March 8, 2026, at The Village in Indianola. After a brief battle with cancer, she went to be with the Lord.
An ordained minister, Edith shared her faith with anyone who would listen and spent many years volunteering at the Lee Town food bank. She cherished her weekly card games with her sisters and took great delight in celebrating the accomplishments of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her warm presence and generous spirit touched many lives.
She is survived by her children, Teresa (Jerry) Woolery, Jerry (Holly) Fazio, and Andrea (Tom) Bianchi, along with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her siblings Judy, Pat, Janet, and Ronnie. Edith was preceded in death by her parents, Amos and Audrey Sonnenberg, and her siblings Jeanie, Donnie, and Jerry Lee. She will be laid to rest beside her beloved husband, Bill Davis.
