Passed away on Monday March 16, 2026, at the Baptist Health in Lexington, KY. She was born on March 25, 1929, in Blackey, Ky to the late Robert "Bob" & Margarett Combs Dixon. She was the wife of the late Donald P. Akers. She was a devout member of the Little Home Old Regular Baptist Church in Redfox, KY.Edith is survived by her Children- Robert (Lynn) Akers, Donna Kay (Michael) Allgeier; Grandchildren- Darren Akers, Andrea Green, Mathew Akers, Corey Allgeier; Great-Grandchildren- William, Abby, Ben, Max, Sam, Axyl, Logan; Brother- Bennett Dixon; A Host of Extended Family & Friends.Edith is preceded in passing by her Husband- Donald P. Akers; Parents- Robert "Bob" & Margarett Combs Dixon; 2 Brothers & 7 Sisters.Graveside Services will be on Monday March 23, 2026 at 1PM at Carr Fork Memorial Cemetery in LittCarr, KY with Brother Cody Jones & Brother Randy Combs officiating. Burial will follow at the Carr Fork Memorial Cemetery in LittCarr, KY.
