Huntsville, MO
Edith Cleo Craft, 94, of Huntsville, Missouri, passed away on March 11, 2026, at her daughter’s home in Rogersville, Missouri.
Born on February 6, 1932, in Brunswick, Missouri, to Charles and Edith DeWeese, Cleo married her best friend, Boise H. Craft, Jr., on September 27, 1949, in Brunswick. The couple shared 68 devoted years together until Boise’s death on October 25, 2017.
Cleo was a loving wife and mother who, after raising their daughter, worked as a receptionist for Ameren-Empire Gas Company in Moberly. She cherished hunting and fishing alongside Boise, and found joy in playing golf, painting, and taking her daily mile walks, which she credited with keeping her young. A longtime member of the Huntsville United Methodist Church, she remained active and engaged throughout her life.
She is survived by her daughter, Jane Fraser-Giddens (Larry); grandson Luke Fraser (Hannah); granddaughter Sarah Collins (Tyson); great-grandchildren Gavin and Abel Fraser, and Bryley, Reed, and Cross Collins; her brother Donnie DeWeese (Donna); and all who loved her. She was preceded in death by her husband Boise, her parents, brothers R.K., Harold, Kenneth, and John DeWeese, sister Doris Still, and great-granddaughter Paisley Collins.
