Edith Arlene Pitts

Edith Arlene Pitts, 92, passed away peacefully on March 6, 2026 at Amira Senior Living, where she had resided since April 2025. She previously made her home in Brooklyn Park, Minnesota.

Although Arlene worked several jobs throughout her life, she especially loved her more than 20 years at the Target Center as an usher for the Timberwolves games. She knew every player and they knew her. Even after retirement, she continued to cheer the team on and offer her thoughts through her Facebook page. One of her lifelong dreams was to model, and in her 50s she bravely stepped out of her comfort zone to make that dream a reality.

Arlene is survived by her children Stephen (Judy) Pitts, Scott (DeAnna) Pitts and Tracy Pitts; her grandchildren Justin (Cara) Phillips, Allison (Patrick) Riggs, Matthew Pitts, Tiffany Pitts, Jason Schwab, Nicholas Pitts, Kaitlin (John) Arnold and Lindsey (Sam Soule) Pitts; and her great-grandchildren Elizabeth and Courtney Phillips, and Brayson, Braxton and Brody Schwab.

The family is deeply grateful for the loving care provided to Arlene by her PCAs, Stephen and Seana Thorkildson, over the past year. In keeping with her love for cats, memorial donations may be made to Melissa’s Second Chances and the Second Cup Cat Café.
