Edith A. Sheedlo-Gosh

Edith A. Sheedlo-Gosh, age 89, of Antioch, Illinois, passed away on March 9, 2026, surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of the late Ronald Sheedlo, who passed in 1994, and the late James Gosh, who passed in 2023. Edith was a devoted mother to Ron (Paula), Dave (Linda), Steve (Molly), and Craig (Tracey) Sheedlo. She was a cherished grandmother to Rachel (Matt), Audrey (Adam), Laura, Tristan, Luke, Josiah (Alicia), Jacob (Alyssa), Caleb (Regan), Talia (Kurt), Ethan, Annie (Daniel), Leah (Solomon), Sam, Elizabeth, Anthony, Alec, Tegan (Stephen), Kathleen (Ian), Trevor (Shannon), and the late Ty, and an adored great-grandmother to many. She is also survived by her dear siblings Clyde, Roy, and Kathy, as well as many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Bernice Sundquist, her siblings Clinton and Betty, and her grandson Ty.

Edith trained as a nurse and served her local community in that role for many years. Strong in her faith, she found deep purpose in serving others. She participated in mission trips near the Mexico border, offering aid and care to children and families in need, and cherished the opportunities these journeys provided for travel and outreach. Together with her husband Ron, she was deeply committed to their church family and served Fox Lake Baptist Church in countless ways. The couple founded the Awana Club program there, a ministry they both held close to their hearts. After Ron’s passing, Edith continued that same spirit of service alongside Jim at Chain of Lakes Community Bible Church.

She will be remembered for her quiet strength, her generous heart, and the steadfast love she showed her family and community.
