Milne, age 86, passed peacefully with her family by her side at Somerset Medical Center on March 10, 2026.Born in Copenhagen, Denmark, to Eiler Witt and Thyra Moeller, she emigrated to the US at age 16 to Philadelphia, graduating from West Philadelphia High School. She met Robert (Bob) the love of her life to whom she was married for 63 years. She worked for RCA in Camden and Shell Oil as an executive assistant and later as a children's librarian for the Long Beach Island School District until she retired. She loved reading to the students and to her daughter and later, grandsons. She enjoyed crocheting and making jam, and sharing her creations with those around her. She loved to travel, both with her husband Bob and with family and spent extended vacations camping and exploring across Canada and the US, including Alaska. They enjoyed travel in Europe and beyond and fishing trips with friends in Cabo and Costa Rica.Eddy was very proud of her Danish heritage and enjoyed cooking Danish specialties as well as fresh scallops, crab cakes and Key lime pie. She enjoyed organizing parties and gatherings. Living by the water on LBI, she enjoyed the beach, boating and time with family, neighbors and friends. In retirement, she and Bob loved spending extended winters in the Florida Keys with their friends in VO, running auctions, country line dancing lessons and activities and enjoying visits with family.She is predeceased by her beloved husband Bob in September 2024, step father Joshua Wendell and cousin Kaj Witt.Eddy is survived by her daughter and son in law Charlene and Cory Vergilio; grandsons Christian (Nicoletta) , Colin (Jenny) and Craig; and much extended family in Denmark and the US. "Mommop" will be greatly missed.A celebration of life will be held at a later date in the spring.To plant trees in memory, please visit the Sympathy Store.
