Eddie West Davis

Eddie West Davis, 87, of Princeton, passed away on March 11, 2026, at his home. Born on May 24, 1938, in Evansville to the late Basil and Lonnie (Gipson) Davis, Eddie proudly served in the United States Air Force before beginning his long career at Alcoa. He worked in several departments and retired from the finishing department.

Eddie was a loving and caring man who cherished his family above all else. He shared a special bond with his beloved dog, Bo, who remained fiercely protective of him. His quiet devotion and warm presence left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him, and he will be deeply missed.

He is survived by his children, Shari McNeely (Donald) of Princeton and Danny Davis of Newburgh; six grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; and three sisters, Bettie Fritz, Shirley Strickland, and Joyce Young. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Ruth Ann Davis; his daughter, Cathy Taylor; and his brothers, Gene, Coleman, Jerry, Walter, and Melvin.
