He was predeceased by: his parents, Leonard Fontenot (Fontenot) and Marie Ardoin Fontenot; and his brother Al Terry Fontenot. He is survived by: his wife Mary Manuel Fontenot of Tyler, Texas; his children, Jeffrey Fontenot (Rebecca) of Robert, Louisiana and Christine Price (Travis) of Tyler, Texas; his brothers, Norbert Fontenot of Ville Platte and Jimmy Fontenot of Ville Platte; and his grandchildren, Rudy Price of Tyler and Madeleine White of Topeka, Kansas..

Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 12th 2026 at 8:30 AM at the LaVille Funeral Home Chapel. A rosary will be held on Thursday, March 12th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church (708 E Main St, Ville Platte, LA 70586). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, March 12th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location. An entombment will be held on Thursday, March 12th 2026 at the same location.
