Ed Conroy, 75, of Hallstead, Pennsylvania, passed away on March 10, 2026. Son of the late Jay and Clara Conroy, he was also predeceased by his brothers Jay Conroy and Fred Hanyon.
He is survived by his children, David (Lisa) Conroy, Jon (Jaime) Conroy, Michelle (Brandon) Dorshimer, Megan Conroy, and Eric (Samantha) Conroy; eleven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; his siblings Violet Paugh, Jack Conroy, Mary Plonski, Lillian Biefeldt, and Clara Cole; and many nieces, nephews, including Jay Conroy, along with extended family.
A longtime member of the Community Methodist Church in Great Bend, Ed found joy in attending auctions and sharing meals with family and friends at Dobb’s Country Kitchen or Jane’s Diner. He worked 54 years as a service technician for Suburban Propane, retiring in July 2025. Ed was always engaged in a project, skilled with heavy equipment, and generous in sharing his knowledge to help others. Known for his warm smile and kind heart, he was a devoted father, stepfather, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend.
