Earl Mitchell

Earl H. Mitchell, age 94, of Norfolk, Nebraska, passed away on Wednesday, March 11, 2026, at Heritage at Fountain Point in Norfolk.

Born and raised in the area, Earl lived a long and honorable life marked by quiet strength and steadfast values. He proudly served his country, and his commitment to duty was later recognized through military honors at his memorial service. Earl was a familiar and respected presence in the Norfolk community, known for his integrity and the quiet care he showed to those around him.

He leaves behind family and friends who will remember him with deep affection and gratitude for the many years they shared. A memorial service was held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, March 27, 2026, at Grace Lutheran Church in Norfolk, with Reverend Christopher Asbury officiating. Military honors were conducted by the Army National Guard Honor Guard, American Legion Post 16, and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1644.
