Born on May 12,1955, to Edward and Juanita Jolly, he grew up in a household of five brothers and onesister. He spent most of his life doing things his own way, usually with a smirk and aquick-witted remark ready to go.Earl was a proud father of one daughter, Cody, who later blessed him with threebeautiful granddaughters. Becoming "PawPaw" was a title he wore with pride and wouldoften say how happy his granddaughters made him. One thing he would do with all ofhis granddaughters is buy them little piggie pastries from the local bakery. This was atradition of his starting with the almost 18-year-old Emma and continuing on to her muchyounger sisters. He worked for many years as an outdoor machinist in different shipyards aroundHampton Roads. He repaired and maintained many different types of vessels, rangingfrom tugboats to Aircraft Carriers, ensuring that the country fleet was always ready todepart. When he wasn't working, he enjoyed spending time in his yard or sitting on the porch, soaking in the quiet and pondering life. He was a man of simple pleasures, spending hisdays tinkering in the garage on his trucks or motorcycles and spending every Saturdaynight watching the UFC fights with his brother. Motorcycles were his specialty, and hewould often build them from scratch, piece by piece. As Earl passes from this life to the next, we can easily picture him back on his chopperwith his ponytail caught in the wind and his knees in the breeze on the longest openroad. While he will be deeply missed, he is not truly gone. He lives on in the laughter ofour stories and the warmth of our memories, riding forever in the hearts of those wholoved him.Read The Full ObituaryTo plant trees in memory, please visit the Sympathy Store.
