Earl Moore ObituaryObituary published on Legacy.com by Acadia Burial & Cremation Direct on Mar. 2, 2026.Earl Chester MooreEarl Chester Moore, beloved husband, father, uncle, and friend, left this earth on March 2, 2026.He was predeceased by his parents; his brothers and sister; and his son, Shaunessy, who passed at birth.Earl was a pirate, a captain, and a poet at heart. He loved life, laughter, jokes, and stories, and he made countless friends in every corner of the world. Charismatic, charming, a great dancer, and a first-class entertainer, Earl had a way of turning ordinary moments into unforgettable ones.Earl's children – Eric, Melanie, and Shaunessy – were his three greatest joys from his first marriage to Paige Bruisie. In 1975, Earl married the love of his life, Elizabeth Gott, with whom he shared the rest of his days. Together, Earl and Liz built a home that welcomed all. Their doors were always open to anyone in need of a place to rest, laugh, or share stories.Earl and Liz shared countless adventures, traveling far and wide, though some of Earl's greatest adventures were found close to home in Acadia National Park. To Earl, Acadia was more than a park – it was a sanctuary, a playground, and a lifelong home. The ocean was the music of Earl's soul. Sailing and motorboating brought him both peace and exhilaration. Navigating through storms and heavy fog was, to him, a welcome challenge. Days spent digging clams, hauling lobsters, or catching crabs were days well spent. When he wasn't chasing tides, Earl was chasing engines, happily rescuing vehicles that others might have given up on. He loved bringing engines back to life, tinkering for hours, and taking pride in a job well done. His yard proudly reflected that passion, sometimes raising a few eyebrows around town, but to Earl, every vehicle held possibility and promise. Whether with grease on his hands or salt spray on his face, Earl lived life fully and without hesitation.Earl loved his children more than life itself. His son, Eric C. Moore, and his daughter, Melanie C. Moore, were his pride and joy, and they held his heart until the very end. He beamed whenever he spoke of the lives they built, the adults they became, and their accomplishments. He also leaves behind his beloved grandsons, Jordan M. Lecours and Tyler A. Lecours, and eight nieces and nephews who carry forward his spirit of adventure.Earl leaves behind a space that cannot be filled. He will be missed more than words can say, but his stories, laughter, and boundless love will live on in the hearts of all who were lucky enough to know him.To plant trees in memory, please visit the Sympathy Store.
