E. Richard Wrinn

E. Richard Wrinn, known to all as Rich, passed away on March 2, 2026, at home surrounded by his loving family. He was born on September 14, 1966, in New Haven, Connecticut, to Eugene and Marilyn (GallenKamp) Wrinn. Rich grew up in Wallingford and graduated from Choate Rosemary Hall with the Class of 1984. He went on to earn his bachelor’s degree from Holy Cross College in Massachusetts.

A jack of all trades, Rich held various jobs throughout his life but found his greatest joy in fishing and fly tying. Above all, he cherished the time spent with his family. He is survived by his parents, Eugene and Marilyn, his two brothers, Stephen Wrinn of Indiana and Daniel (Cameron) Wrinn of Maryland, three nephews, one niece, and his special aunt, Linda Martinez of Texas.
