He was predeceased by: his parents, Elmer Lee and Mary Clestine Cottongim. He is survived by: his wife Cathy S. Cottongim; his children, Anthony Cottongim (Angie), Tabitha Cottongim (John Estelle) and Mary Myers (Kenny); his grandchildren, Savannah, Justin, Emily, Isaiah, Aaliyah, Alex, Katie and Dallas; his great grandchild Faithlynn; and his sisters, Sherry Cooper (Gary), Karen Stevens (Scott) and Darla Temple (Byron).

Visitation will be held on Friday, March 13th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Saturday, March 14th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Newcomer Funeral Home (925 E Hanna Av, Indianapolis, IN 46227). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 14th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location.
