Dustin Ray Galarza

Dustin Ray Galarza, 24, of Naturita, Colorado, passed away on March 7, 2026, at St. Mary’s Medical Center in Grand Junction. Born on February 1, 2002, in Grand Junction to Rigoberto and Allison Galarza, Dustin grew up in Naturita surrounded by family and friends. He graduated from Nucla High School and carried a deep love for music throughout his life. In his free time he enjoyed DJing, playing music loud, and bringing energy and excitement to every gathering.

Dustin possessed a vibrant personality that made him the life of the party. His humor, distinctive style, colorful outfits, and natural ability to connect with others left a lasting impression on everyone he met. Above all, he cherished his role as a father. His five-year-old son, Kason Galarza, was the light of his life, and Dustin treasured every moment they shared.

He was preceded in death by his infant brother Ryan Galarza, his maternal grandparents Adolphus (Doc) and Nancy Moore, and his best friends Tad Sickles and Alec Taber. Dustin is survived by his parents, Rigoberto and Allison Galarza of Naturita; his son, Kason Galarza; his brothers Brandon (Brooke) Galarza, Eric Galarza, and Mikael Galarza; and his nieces Kinzley Galarza and Olivia Galarza and nephew Grayson Galarza, all of whom he deeply loved.

Dustin will be remembered for his larger-than-life spirit, his infectious laughter, his music, and the genuine joy he brought to those around him. Though his time was far too short, the love, memories, and laughter he shared will remain forever in the hearts of his family and friends.
