Dustin Downing ObituaryObituary published on Legacy.com by Stumpff Funeral Home & Crematory - Bartlesville on Mar. 17, 2026.Dustin Logan Downing was the kind of person who never went anywhere without his skateboard and made every place feel a little brighter when he showed up.Dustin died March 8, 2026, in Bartlesville, Oklahoma. He was born Oct. 28, 2008, in Colby, Kansas, to Tami Fisher. He lived in Bartlesville for the past 9 years and left a lasting mark on those around him.He was attending Bartlesville High School and also taking construction classes at Tri County Tech, where he earned numerous certificates and was deeply proud of what he had accomplished. Dustin was pursuing a career in carpentry, a path that fit him well. He liked building things, working with his hands and imagining what something could become. One of Dustin's dreams was to fix up a van, travel the United States, work as a carpenter and leave every place he visited a little better than he found it.Dustin worked at On The Rock Ministries' skatepark, a place that suited him perfectly. He loved skateboarding and teaching others. But more than that, he loved people. He had a way of making others feel welcome, seen and understood. He found joy in simple, meaningful things: early morning walks, watching the sunrise, listening to just about every genre of music, gaming and spending time with his two cats, Theo and Binx. He also loved drawing and filled notebooks with designs, blueprints and ideas for skateboard ramps. He was creative, thoughtful and always imagining what he might build next.Dustin was preceded in death by two unborn siblings and his dog, Oreo.He is survived by his mother, Tami Fisher; his sister, Sidra Downing; and his beloved cats, Theo and Binx.A service to honor Dustin's life will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 21, 2026, at Stumpff Funeral Home.Dustin's cremated remains will be buried beneath a red oak tree, where others may find rest in its shade, just as so many found comfort in his presence.Dustin's life was far too short, but it was full of heart. He will be remembered for his smile, his kindness, his creativity and the way he showed up in the world with quiet care for the people around him. He will be deeply missed. To plant trees in memory, please visit the Sympathy Store.
