Dub Richardson

William “Dub” Richardson, 91, of Springfield, passed away on Saturday, March 14, 2026. Born on June 17, 1934, in Mountain View, Arkansas, to William Elbert Richardson and Ella May “Vastine” Richardson, Dub lived a full and active life marked by hard work, quiet strength, and deep devotion to family.

After completing school, he served in the Navy before returning to civilian life, where he ran a cattle ranch, worked as a carpenter, and built stock trailers. In marriage, he found his greatest joy; he and Judi McNeill shared 53 loving years together. Dub was a proud and affectionate husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather whose presence brought steadiness and warmth to those who knew him.

He is survived by his wife, Judi; son Robin Richardson; daughter Stacie (Tod) Schob; grandsons Zack Kelly, Cody (Kim) Kelly, Luke (Victoria) Schob, Trinton Schob, Westley (Tori) Richardson, and Kovi (Annie) Richardson; and four great-grandchildren, Ava, Jaxson, and Raegan Kelly. He is also survived by three sisters, Alice Moore, Teresa Green, and Jean Johnson, and one brother, Tom Richardson. Dub was preceded in death by his parents and his son Nicholas.
