Born on November 28, 1947 in Monaca, PA.He was the son of Charles and Margaret (Harmon) Fink. He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings Margaret Louise Fink "Dolly", Sarah (Fink) Zinke, John James Fink "Jim", and Raymond Gerald Fink "Jerry". Survived by his beloved life companion, Elizabeth " Beth" Boske and loving children, Dr. Jude Fink (Rosa Maria); Marian Fink (Shane); Hayley Barnes (Andrew); 8 grandchildren; Asa Cory Fink-Rich 15; William Carlos Mulser Fink 11; Maeve Harmon Fink-Rich 11, Samuel David Mulser Fink 8, Elliana Jo Barnes 5, Stella Rosalie Mulser Fink 4, Everly Ann Barnes 10 months and Emerson Lee Barnes 10 months; brothers, Charles "Russ" (Bina); Lawrence "Gene"(Elaine); Francis "Bernie" (Barbara); Joseph "Joe" (Carol); Kevin (Susan); and sister, Mary Pat; close friend of 70 years, Nelson Haller and former wife, Gliceria Fink.Dr. Fink was a graduate of Monaca High School in 1965 and received his BA in Biology from Gannon University. He taught Biology at Dundalk Jr. High in Baltimore, Md. Prior to joining the Peace Corps which brought him to the Philippines. He returned home and started a landscaping company, Crown Lawn Care. After several years serving his community, he decided to pursue his childhood dream of becoming a physician. He returned to the Philippines and received his medical degree from Cebu Institute of Medicine in 1984. He did his medical residency at Conemaugh Hospital in Johnstown, PA then joined the Internal Medicine Physicians at Conemaugh Hospital from 1988 until his retirement. While there he was on faculty as the Associate Program Director for Internal Medicine Residency Program and the Assistant Professor of Medicine at Temple University School of Medicine. In 2010 he received the award: Temple University/Conemaugh Valley Memorial Hospital 2009-2010 Internal Medicine Residency Teacher of the Year, Best Attending in Medicine. Bill had a warm bedside manner, connecting with his patients and earning their trust through his knowledge, compassion, and humor.He made friends everywhere he went and had a playful spirit and a sense of humor, always bringing laughter to those around him. He loved the outdoors, enjoyed hiking, fishing, and birdwatching, and embraced opportunities for travel. He was always up for an adventure. Most of all, Bill cherished time spent with his grandchildren, whose joy and laughter brought him his greatest happiness.Friends and family will be received from 4-6 PM on Thursday, March 19, 2026 at Frank Duca Funeral Home, Westmont Chapel, 1622 Menoher Blvd., Johnstown PA 15905.
