Dr. Sang Wan Kim

Dr. Sang Wan Kim died peacefully at home on March 12, 2026, after a brief illness at the age of 91. He graduated from Kyungpook National University School of Medicine and specialized in pulmonary critical care medicine. A beloved and dedicated physician, he touched many lives during his long years of practice.

Above all, he was a loving husband to his wife, Jung Hee Kim, and a caring father to his three sons, Dr. David Kim, Michael Kim, and Steve Kim. He was a doting grandfather to his grandchildren, Ryan, Alex, Sara, Emily, Katherine, and Andrew, and will be deeply missed by his daughters-in-law, Rosemary, Julianne, and Sonmi.

A man of deep faith, he remained devoted to God throughout his life. His family finds comfort in knowing that he has been welcomed into Heaven and is now at peace. He died surrounded by love, knowing he was cherished by so many.
