Warren, OH

Dr. Marwan Riad Rouweyha, 90, passed away peacefully at home on March 5, 2026, and was laid to rest at Tod Homestead Cemetery on March 9, 2026.

A man of rare character and an unwavering moral compass, Marwan lived a life centered on healing, love, and quiet strength. At the heart of his world was his beloved wife, Hoda Tabbara Rouweyha, his sweetheart since the age of 17 and the great love of his life for nearly 74 years. Together they shared a deep appreciation for art and created a beautiful home in Warren filled with devotion and grace.

Born in Syria, Marwan became a distinguished orthopedic surgeon whose path was shaped by discipline and resilience. In 1975, after surviving a life-altering gunshot injury during the Lebanese Civil War, he rebuilt his life in the United States with remarkable determination, continuing his calling of helping others through medicine. He will be remembered as a devoted husband, loving father and grandfather, healer, humanist, poet, romantic, and a man of rare moral clarity who lived by the simple principles of love, respect, and forgiveness.

He is survived by his wife, Hoda; his beloved sons, Dr. Rudy Rouweyha and his wife, Renee Burton Rouweyha, and Dr. Rajy Rouweyha and his wife, Rita Nasser Rouweyha; his cherished daughter, Randa Rouweyha, and her children, his treasures, Sara and Ramsey; his nephew, Al Moamin, whom he lovingly raised as a son, and his wife, Huda Obaid Moamin; and many extended family members and dear friends who were blessed to know and love him.
