Dr. Lairy Wayne Miller

Dr. Lairy Wayne Miller

West Chester, OH

Dr. Lairy Wayne Miller, age 64 of West Chester, Ohio, entered into heaven on Friday, March 13, 2026. Born on November 17, 1961 to Jack and Eva Miller, he was raised in Cincinnati, Ohio, where he graduated from Colerain High School in 1980. He earned a B.S. in biology from the University of Cincinnati in 1984 and a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from The Ohio State University College of Dentistry in 1988. He returned to Cincinnati to begin his dental career, a city he loved with boundless enthusiasm and passion.

Wayne was a devoted husband and nurturing father. On August 20, 1988, he married Debbie, affectionately known as Schwab. Married for 37 years, they were rarely apart, working side by side, building their dream home and dental office together, and sharing family vacations, church activities, and school events. Their love deepened profoundly through the years of “in sickness and in health,” as Debbie became his full-time caregiver, sustained by his lifelong commitment to her and their daughters.

He cherished his two girls, Megan and Emily. He encouraged Megan through every step of her journey to medical school, and she followed his example of compassionate care to become a primary care physician. Megan shared her father’s grin, personality, work ethic, and Christian values. With Emily, he nurtured her musical gifts from a young age, supporting her with the baby grand piano, guitars, and road trips to Nashville. He happily served as her roadie, attended her performances, and treasured their duets in church, where their quick wit and special bond shone.

Wayne was known for his love of The Andy Griffith Show, his warm “rambling gift of gab,” and his quick smile that put everyone at ease. A lifelong member of First Baptist Church of Hamilton, Ohio, he was baptized during dental school and served on the deacon’s board while sharing his musical talents in worship. He embraced his church family with compassion and grace, finding comfort in their presence even in his final years. He is survived by his wife Debbie, daughters Dr. Megan and Emily, brother Todd, brother-in-law Jeff, and mother-in-law Betty, all of whom were deeply loved and will carry his legacy of faith, generosity, and joyful connection.
