Dr. Bryce Douglas Brandt
November 6, 1989— March 12, 2026
Sioux Falls, SD
Dr. Bryce Douglas Brandt, 36, of Sioux Falls, South Dakota, passed away on March 12, 2026, at Abbott Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis, Minnesota, from complications of chemotherapy treatment following his courageous battle with testicular cancer. Surrounded by his loved ones, he peacefully entered the presence of his Savior in Heaven.
Born on November 6, 1989, to Ronald and Lori Brandt in Sioux Falls, Bryce was raised in his hometown and attended JFK Elementary, Memorial Middle School, and Roosevelt High School. He went on to study at South Dakota State University in Brookings before earning his Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Northwestern Health Sciences University in Bloomington, Minnesota. Bryce returned home to Sioux Falls, where he practiced alongside Dr. Haley Luond at Active Faith Chiropractic. He saw his work as a ministry, using his gifts of healing and compassion to care for the minds, bodies, and spirits of his patients, many of whom became like family to him.
From childhood onward, Bryce held a deep passion for sports and the outdoors. He loved playing and watching sports and took special joy in helping athletes reach their full potential through chiropractic care. Known for his ability to slow down and savor life’s simple blessings, much like his favorite animal, the sloth, Bryce found his greatest joy in his beloved nieces, Boston and Willow. He cherished every moment spent spoiling them, whether during outings, celebrations, Fourth of July parades, or rides on the camper golf cart.
Bryce’s life was anchored in his faith. He treasured his relationship with God and his family above all else. In recent years, his faith deepened profoundly, and he began each day with gratitude for the life he had been given and the opportunity to serve others. Even through his illness, he leaned on the Lord with steadfast trust, believing that earthly life is temporary and eternal life awaits those who believe. Those who knew him best described him as courageous, resilient, compassionate, and unwavering in his faith. As his father, Ron, so beautifully expressed, those who loved Bryce loved him from his head to his toes.
Bryce is survived by his parents, Ronald and Lori (Fligge) Brandt; his brother, Brady (Ashley, Boston, and Willow) Brandt; and many beloved aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandparents Douglas and Ruth Fligge, Beverly Brandt, and Al Brandt; his aunt Sherry; and his cousin Tara.
