Doyle G. Polk, Jr.

Doyle G. Polk, Jr., age 98, passed away on Saturday, March 14, 2026, at Salem Spring Lake Nursing and Rehabilitation in Salem, Kentucky.

Born on January 18, 1928, in Crittenden County to the late Doyle Polk, Sr. and Ina Stubblefield Polk, Doyle served his country as a U.S. Army veteran stationed in Germany during the postwar rebuilding effort. He later worked for many years at Chrysler Corporation as a dock worker. Doyle had a deep passion for genealogy and local cemetery research, and he found great joy in nature, particularly in caring for the birds that visited his yard. Above all, he cherished his family and treasured every moment spent with them.

He is survived by his sister, Linda Perryman, and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. In addition to his parents, Doyle was preceded in death by three sisters, Georgia Nell Polk, Margaret Riley, and Billie York, and one nephew, Ted Perryman.
