Doyle “Bruce” Coffelt, age 84, of Kirbyville, Missouri, passed away on March 11, 2026. He was born on October 14, 1941, in Sanger, California, the son of Ray Coffelt and Beulah (Shahan) Coffelt.
With a gregarious soul, Bruce had a gift for turning strangers into friends through his jokes and genuine kindness. He held a deep love for horses, belonged to saddle clubs, and over the years built an impressive collection of spurs. He and his wife, Rose Ella Hembree, who preceded him in death on November 13, 2000, enjoyed spending time together at flea markets and antique stores, where they delighted in finding deals and treasures. Bruce was also a talented woodworker who took great pride in his craft.
He is survived by his sons, Duane Coffelt and wife Tammie of Walnut Grove, Missouri, and Kevin Coffelt and wife Tina of Kirbyville, Missouri; six grandchildren, Tasha Hopkins, Caleb Coffelt, Kasey DelCour, Bailey Coffelt, Chaelyn Davis, and Megan Morgan; thirteen great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. He is also survived by his brothers, Mike and his significant other Linda, and Dusty Coffelt and wife Diana, as well as many extended family members and friends.
Bruce was preceded in death by his wife, Rose Coffelt; his sister, Diantha Coffelt; his parents; and his infant brother, Joel.
