Douglas Lee Riley, age 69, of Madison Mobile Home Park in Richmond, passed away on Tuesday, March 10, 2026, at Saint Joseph Hospital in Lexington. Born on December 25, 1956, in Lewis County, he was the son of the late James Fedders and Mildred Riley. Douglas spent most of his life in Madison County, where he worked in construction and proudly served as a United States Marine Corps veteran. He was a longtime member of the Living Waters Sanctuary in Berea.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Linda Riley, his parents, and two brothers, Tom Riley and Gary Riley. Douglas is survived by his daughter, Brandy Riley of Florida; three sons, Douglas Scott (Amy) Riley of Oklahoma, Jimmy (Lorean) Riley of Montgomery County, and Shawn (Melissa) Riley of Madison County; two sisters, Margie Walters and Judy Carpenter, both of Madison County; one brother, David “Butch” Riley of Rockcastle County; ten grandchildren, Makayla Holt, Ahriston Thomas, Abigail Brewster, Victoria Riley, Logan Riley, Jordan Riley, Skyler Riley, Mason Riley, Miles Riley, and Maeve Riley; and five great-grandchildren.

He will be remembered as a devoted family man whose quiet strength and steadfast love touched everyone who knew him.
