Douglas Lee Johnson, 42, of Stuart, Florida, passed away on March 7, 2026. Born on September 4, 1983, in Stuart to David Johnson and Carolyn East, Doug spent his entire life in the community he loved. He found deep joy in the outdoors, whether fishing, boating, mudding, or simply spending time in nature. An avid cook, he was especially known for his famous jalapeño poppers, and he cherished gatherings with family and friends. A true jack of all trades, Doug approached life with enthusiasm and generosity, always ready to lend a hand or share a laugh. He was the life of every party and will be remembered for his warm, outgoing spirit.

Even in death, Doug continued to give to others through organ donation, a final act that reflected the caring and selfless person he was throughout his life.

He was preceded in death by his father, David Johnson; his mother, Carolyn East; his stepfather, Kenneth East Jr. (Bub); his grandparents; and his aunt, Flossie Anderson Meek.

Doug is survived by his son, Carson Johnson of Vero Beach, Florida; his partner, Amanda Mack; his stepsons, Joey and Jase Mack of Stuart, Florida; his brothers, David “Chip” Johnson (Chasity) of Fort White, Florida, Jesse East (Casey) of Eastman, Georgia, and Jimmy Johnson of Fort White, Florida; his sisters, Caitlin East (Brandon) of Okeechobee, Florida, and Tiffany Doyle (Eric) of Fort White, Florida; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
