He was predeceased by: his mother Judy Metzger; and his brother Mike Metzger. He is survived by: his father Ervin Metzger; his children, Shannon Metzger, Kristopher Metzger (Romy) and Lindsay Metzger; his siblings, Cindy Riesinger (Jerry), Karen Morales (Tim), Gary Metzger (Jean), Mark Metzger (Marla), Pat Metzger (Geri), Tim Metzger and Margaret Flynn (Tom); and his grandsons, Benny and Max Metzger.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, April 4th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Mark and Marla Metzger's Home (13501 W Roy Rogers Rd, Peoria, AZ 85383).
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to the Mayo Clinic in Doug's memory.
