Preserve forever →Douglas Edward Duncan
April 21, 1961— March 9, 2026
Rocky Top, TN
Douglas Edward Duncan passed away in March 2026. A Navy veteran, he served his country aboard the USS Jesse L. Brown and the nuclear submarine USS Francis Scott Key, traveling the seas during his years of service. Those who knew Doug quickly grew to love him. His bright presence and unforgettable laugh left a lasting impression on everyone around him.
A hardworking man with a generous spirit, Doug was known for his kindness and willingness to help others without hesitation. He bravely faced diabetes for much of his life, even as it limited some of the activities he enjoyed. These qualities of strength and selflessness were traits he proudly passed on to his sons.
He is survived by his sons, Nathaniel Edward Duncan and daughter-in-law Megan Marlow of Rocky Top, Tennessee, and Jonathan Tyler Duncan of Clinton, Tennessee. He also leaves behind his parents, James and Donna Duncan of Rocky Top, Tennessee; his brother, Darron Duncan of California; his sister, Denese Margolius of Maryland; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who loved him dearly.
Doug was truly one of a kind and will forever be loved, missed, and remembered in the hearts of all who knew him.
