Douglas E. Jones Jr.

Douglas E. Jones Jr., 61, of Oswego, passed away on March 9, 2026. Born in Newark, New Jersey, he was the son of the late Douglas E. and Lavern (Wiekoff) Jones Sr.

Douglas worked in construction and food service throughout his life. He found great joy in fishing and cherished every moment spent with his children and grandchildren, who were the center of his world.

He is survived by his partner, Melissa Neshweiwat; his children, Rashon Clayton, Hassan Alexander, Emmanuel Jones, Xavier Jones, Kareem Jones, Jayceon Jones, Doug Jones, Deontae Jackson, Mona Claxton, Katara Jackson, Tynogy Jones, Shayla Jones, Imani Jones, Ty'Jaleya Jones, and Asia Jones; his brothers, Kato (Reginna Flowers) Muhammad and Ali Muhammad; his sisters, Dawn Wilkins, Laquetta Neecee Jones, Danna Jones, and Nicole Muhammad; six stepchildren; many grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers Hassan Jones and Omar Jones Muhammad and his sister Mikki Wilkins.
