Douglas Arthur Robinson

Douglas Arthur Robinson

August 27, 1968 March 14, 2026

Olanta, SC

Douglas Arthur Robinson Jr. passed away on March 14, 2026, following a tragic fall that resulted in a brain injury. Even in death, Doug continued his lifelong habit of giving by donating his viable organs to help others in need, an act that came as no surprise to those who knew his generous spirit.

Doug loved the outdoors, hard work, and the simple warmth of sunshine. He found joy in life’s everyday pleasures, such as stopping for a cold Diet Pepsi at the gas station and chatting with whoever was there. He spent 18 years at Nucor-Vulcraft in Florence, where he formed deep and lasting friendships. A devoted teacher and mentor, he generously shared his knowledge of countless trades with many young men in the community. He held great respect and affection for the farmers he worked alongside, his “boys,” and all his lifelong friends. To Doug, no one was a stranger—everyone was family.

Above all, Doug was a man of deep faith who spoke openly of his love for the Lord and lived by those convictions. He was a warm and welcoming member of Barrineau Pentecostal Holiness Church, where he greeted everyone with kindness.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 14 years, Alice Robinson; his daughters, Julia Ann Kennedy (Jim Kennedy), Allison Muller (Justin Muller), and Mary Ashley Turner (Wesley Turner); and six cherished grandchildren: Jenni and Jamie Kennedy, Raina and Grier Turner, and James and Henry Muller. He also leaves behind his parents, Arthur and Bernice Robinson; his sister, Julie Hill (Scott Hill); sister-in-law Dana Lewis; nieces Kelsey Johnson (Ethan Johnson) and Leah Reese (Timothy Reese); nephew Nelson Hill (Emily Hill); his former wife of 23 years and mother of his daughters, Becky Levine; mother-in-law Phyllis Yates; and his brother- and sister-in-law Stein and Julie Lee, along with their children and grandchildren—Sulli Lee (Ashley and Andrew), Tylar Lee (Lauren and Ellie), and Maxilyn Lee—whom he loved and cherished as his own. He is also survived by many dear lifelong friends, including special friend Troy Mims and his family, as well as his employees.
