She was 97 years old. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, March 11, 2026, at Watson-Hunt Funeral Home. Visitation will begin at 1:00 p.m., and the funeral will begin at 2:00 p.m. Interment will be in Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery, 2765 Liberty Church Road, Vienna, Georgia. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests memorial contributions to Cross Point Church, 645 Perry Parkway, Perry, GA 31069.June was born on October 18, 1928, in Vienna, Georgia, to the late Roy and Lessie Brown. She graduated from Pinehurst High School. She married the love of her life, James Herbert Potts, and together they raised three boys. June worked with the Greenville, South Carolina, Department of Health and Environmental Control as a Clerk for 15 years. She then accepted a position as secretary for the church where she worked for 9 years, having served 5 of those years as the pastor's secretary. The Potts family moved to Perry in 2004. June was an active member of Cross Point Perry, formerly known as Cross Point Baptist Church, for over 20 years.June was predeceased by her parents; her beloved husband of 71 years, Herb Potts; and 2 brothers, Don Brown and Doyle Brown.Left to cherish the memories they made with June are her sons, Jim Potts (Genie) of Mt. Pleasant, South Carolina, Ron Potts of Atlanta, and Darryl Potts of Perry; a grandchild, Jamie Potts; her sister, Floyce Barron of Perry; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.Condolences for the family may be left in the online guestbook at www.watsonhunt.com.
