D. Paulette Westmoreland, 82, a lifelong resident of Cleveland, TN, passed away on Thursday, March 12, 2026, at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Cleveland, TN on December 10, 1943, a daughter of the late Lloyd Wallace Cox and Mary Jane Bonnie Parker Cox. Paulette was of the Baptist faith and retired from Bendix Corporation in Cleveland, TN after 30 years of service. She had a wonderful life filled with fun and travel. Paulette and her sister Faye traveled 5 continents including Europe, Asia, Africa, Australia, North America including all 50 states. But most of all, she loved her family and spending time with them.
In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by her son Tommy Westmoreland, infant daughter Johnnie Ruth Westmoreland; two wonderful grandchildren Tyler Westmoreland and Angelica Renee Jarrett; and her brother, Ira Cox.
Paulette leaves behind to cherish her memory, one daughter Robin, two grandchildren Brandi Scott and Cody Westmoreland (April), three sisters Faye Dunn, Jean Pierce (Billy) and Carol Boone, one adopted sister Susan Reagan (James), two great grandchildren Rylan Williams and Piper Scott, adopted grandson Quentin Scott, several nieces, nephews, and numerous other extended family members along with a host of special friends.
The family will receive friends on Friday, March 20, 2026, from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM in the Shelli Cody memorial sanctuary located in the Ridge Chapel of Companion Funeral Home at 2412 Georgetown Road in Cleveland, TN.
On Saturday, March 21, 2026, Paulette will be at Cedar Springs Baptist Church located at 733 Cedar Springs Church Road SE in Cleveland, TN from 11:00 AM until the 12:00 PM Celebration of Life Service time with the Reverend Homer Roberts officiating.
There will be a private interment later in the Calvary Baptist Church Cemetery in Crandall Georgia.
In lieu of flowers, the family request that memorial donations be made in her memory to the Calvary Baptist Church Cemetery 13621 Highway 225 Crandall, GA 30711.
