Born on August 28, 1944, in Wichita Falls, Texas, she brightened the lives of all who knew her with her kindness, warmth, and vibrant spirit.

She shared her life with her devoted husband, Maximiliano Leal Jr., standing as a pillar of support and love. Together they raised a family that she nurtured with her entire heart. Her children—sons Maximiliano Leal III, Robert Leal (Marcy Leal), Joe Leal (Lee Leal), Gabriel Leal (Ashleigh Leal), and daughters Michelle Tugade and Melissa Todd (Willard Todd)—were enveloped in her unwavering love. They remember a home filled with music and dancing, where Dorothy’s infectious enthusiasm created lasting joy and cherished memories.

Dorothy found great delight in NASCAR, music, and dancing, expressions of the energetic spirit that defined her.
