Dorothy Mae Riddick
January 19, 1961— March 4, 2026
Allentown, PA
Dorothy Mae Riddick, 65, of Allentown, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family on Wednesday, March 4, 2026. Born on January 19, 1961, in Allentown, she was the beloved daughter of Helen (Riddick) Parrish and Phillip Joseph Roberts.
A proud graduate of William Allen High School, Dorothy was deeply devoted to her Christian faith. Affectionately known as “Dot,” she lived a life marked by resilience, strength, and quiet inspiration. She believed firmly that a person’s past does not define their future, and she embodied that truth through her own perseverance and faith. With a generous heart, Dot found joy in bringing people together, creating spaces of welcome and support within her community. Many will remember the warmth of her spirit and the love she expressed through the meals she prepared in her kitchen, where food became a language of care, comfort, and connection.
Above all, Dorothy cherished her family. She is survived by her children, Shalanda, Shakime, Tashun, Naiseja, and Naisheme Riddick; her siblings, Gladys Riddick, Phillis Riddick, Philbert Riddick, Valerie Hilton, Borita Reed-Riddick, Larry Riddick, and Clarence Riddick; 17 grandchildren; and 6 great-grandchildren, all of whom will carry forward her legacy of love. She was preceded in death by her sisters Edna Riddick, Stephanie Hilton, and Dorian Vanessa Battle, and her brother Chester Roberts.
