Fosters, AL
Dorothy Mae Marshall, affectionately known as Mommy Lou, was born on March 16, 1943, in Fosters, Alabama, to Lorene and Joe Little. She married Robert Marshall Jr., and together they had seven children: Lora, Silvia, Robert III, Freddie, Marlon, Marshalette, and Prince. She also lovingly raised two bonus children, LaTanya and Tyree. A baptized Jehovah’s Witness, Dorothy found joy in simple pleasures, including solving crossword puzzles, assembling jigsaw puzzles, playing pitty pat, and listening to her favorite music.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Marshall Jr., three sons, Robert Marshall III, Freddie Marshall, and Tyree Wilder, and one daughter, Silvia Marshall.
Dorothy leaves behind a cherished legacy carried forward by her five surviving children, Lora Jones, Marlon Marshall (Jeanette Marshall), Marshalette Marshall, LaTanya Marshall, and Prince Marshall (Jennifer Marshall), along with thirteen grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild, three sisters, Geraldine Foster, Stella Dillard, and Edna Rome, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.
