Dorothy Lee Higgins

Dorothy Lee “Dot” Wiggins Higgins, age 79, of Baxley, passed away on Saturday, March 14, 2026 at her residence.

Born on December 6, 1946 in Baxley, Dot was a longtime member of Dunn Memorial Baptist Church and lived with a loving, servant’s heart. She cherished her family above all, especially the time spent with her grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Otis Odell Wiggins and Mamie Lee Sikes Wiggins Hicks, as well as Kenny Hicks; her husband, Robert Higgins; and her daughter, Mandy Simmons.

She is survived by her daughters, Angie (Farris) Dyal of Baxley and Kristin (Jarred) Stevens of Douglas; her sons, Odell (Brenda) Higgins of Baxley, Allen Higgins of Baxley, and Stacy (Tanya) Higgins of Baxley; her sisters, Cathryn Harrelson of Baxley and Vivian Griffin of Baxley; her brother, Bob (Christa) Wiggins of Amelia Island, Florida; and her son-in-law, Ricky Simmons of Baxley. She also leaves behind ten grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
