Goshen – Dorothy L. Neff, 97, died Friday, March 13, 2026 at her home at Waterford Crossing Assisted Living. She was born Aug. 5, 1928 in Marshall County to John and Pearl (Marquart) Lemler. On Sept. 18, 1948 she married Elmer I. Neff in Nappanee. He died May 11, 2019. Survivors include a daughter, Diane (Harvey) Rodman and a son, Jerry (Jessica) Neff, both of New Paris; five grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by sisters, Beverly Kuhn, Goshen and Linda Gigous, Clunette, and brothers, Melvin (Janet) Lemler, Bremen and Larry (Judy) Lemler, Bourbon. Along with her parents and husband, Elmer, she was preceded in death by sisters, Wilma Strevy, Frances Romine and Eileen Welch and a brother Oscar "Dave" Lemler. Mrs. Neff enjoyed her family and stayed active with grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She crocheted afghans and made baby blankets for each grandchild and great-grandchild. She also enjoyed reading and working on puzzles. Dorothy was a loving homemaker and interictal part of Neff Masonry, taking care of the bookkeeping for many years. She and Elmer enjoyed wintering in Florida for 27 years where they built a community of friends. Visitation will be Wednesday, March 18, 2026 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home, Goshen. There will also be an hour of visitation at Grace United Methodist Church, 68407 Main St., New Paris prior to the 11 a.m. funeral service on Thursday, March 19, 2026. Pastor Greg Way will officiate. Burial will follow at Violett Cemetery, Goshen. Memorial gifts may be directed to Grace United Methodist Church or Goshen Home Care and Hospice.
