Dorothy was born September 19, 1934, in Saltville, Virginia and lived there for 26 years before moving to Coalfield, TN in 1979.Dorothy was a member of Grace Brethern Church in Ohio and worked 10 years for General Motors before moving to Coalfield. After moving, Dorothy attended Batley Baptist Church, enjoyed her power walks, swimming, traveling, skating and loved seeing God's beautiful flowers.She is preceded in death by her parents, William Franklin & Amanda Alice Collins Delp. She is survived by loving husband Charles Adcock of Coalfield, TN, daughters Cathy Jane Alden & husband, John of Kettering, OH, Charlotte Ann Thompson of Hubert Heights, OH and Phyllis Jean Stevens of Dayton, OH. Grandchildren Aric Paul Chil-cote, Penny Renee Stevens, Shawnery Johnson, Charles Edward Shepherd and three Great Grandchildren. Also survived by a brother Edward Junior Delp of Saltville, VA.Family will receive friends on Friday, March 13, 2026, from 12:45 P.M. – 1:45 P.M. with funeral service to follow at 2:00 P.M. in the chapel at Sharp Funeral Home with Bro Gary Massingill officiating. Graveside service will be held at Oak Ridge Memorial Park on Friday, March 13, 2026, at 3:00 P.M.Sharp Funeral Home is proud to be serving the Adcock family during this time of need.To plant trees in memory, please visit the Sympathy Store.
