She was born on January 24, 1938, in Randolph County, North Carolina, to the late Eli Bryant and Nellie Robinson Coble.Dorothy was a pillar of her community, best known for her years as the owner and operator of the Steak & Pizza restaurant in Liberty, where she served countless patrons with warmth and dedication. Her life was marked by an unwavering commitment to her family and her faith.A devoted member of Holly's Chapel Pentecostal Church, Dorothy found joy and solace in her spiritual community and cherished the fellowship she shared with fellow parishioners. Beyond her work and faith, she truly enjoyed spending time with her family, creating lasting memories and nurturing the bonds that held her loved ones close.Dorothy was preceded in death by her loving husband, George Thomas; her son, Mack Thomas; parents, Eli Bryant and Nellie Robinson Coble; great-grandchild, Kaymen; brothers, Larry, Eli "Red," and Paul; and sisters, Loraine and Naomi.She leaves behind a legacy of love and family, survived by her daughter, Teresa Hinshaw of Asheboro; her brother, Arthur Dewey Coble of Liberty; her grandchildren: Sarah, Amy, Elizabeth, Sherry, Jason, and Carolyn; and her great-grandchildren: Madyson, Robert, Mackayla, Zachary, Isaiah, Byron, Faith, Myles, Cassian, Miles, Gustavo, Raylin, Jacob, Kaylin and Addicus.A graveside service in her honor will be held on Monday, March 23, at 3 p.m. at Holly's Chapel Pentecostal Church Cemetery. Family and friends are invited to gather and celebrate Dorothy's life, reflecting on the many ways she touched their lives with her kindness, generosity, and steadfast love.
