Born on September 25, 1935, in Nameoki Township, she was the daughter of the late Raymond and Lydia (née Gerlach) Herschbach. Dorothy married Paul G. Dorothy loved traveling with her husband, visiting every state including Hawaii, as well as Europe, and taking many cruise ship voyages. She also enjoyed traveling with her sisters and friends. An avid gardener, she took great pleasure in tending her colorful flower and vegetable gardens. She was a dedicated card player who belonged to several card clubs and cherished above all the time spent with her family and friends. A faithful member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Collinsville, she remained deeply connected to her faith and community throughout her life.
She was preceded in death by her parents; three sisters, Irene Karwick, Frances Wegener, and Donna Grimm; a brother, David Herschbach; and an infant brother, Donald Herschbach. Koopman, Garrett Stahl, Jason Stahl, Paul E. (Courtney) Koopman, and Brittany Koopman; and four great-grandchildren, Marcus, Xavier, Adaline, and Coraline. She is also survived by four brothers, Raymond (Carole) Herschbach, Daniel (Barbara) Herschbach, Albert Herschbach, and Richard (June) Herschbach; three sisters, Jean (Cleve) Jany, Margie Becker, and Thelma Herschbach; her brother-in-law, Marvin Wegener; and many nieces and nephews. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
