Newfield, NY
Dorothy Ellen Hulbert, 85, of Newfield, passed away peacefully on March 11, 2026 at Guthrie Robert Packer Hospital in Sayre, Pennsylvania.
Born on September 19, 1941 in Candor, New York to Charles and Edna (Terry) Frisbee, Dottie was known throughout her life for her beautiful flower gardens, her love of cooking, and the devoted care she showed to family and friends. Many in the community knew her as “the Tupperware lady.” She found joy in her TOPS weight-loss group and in running her home daycare. She especially loved decorating her home for the holidays and creating a warm, welcoming space for others. Dottie took great pride in her appearance and was often dressed to the nines, wearing beautiful jewelry and stylish outfits wherever she went.
She is survived by her children, Tina Dinsmore, Todd (Mary) Hulbert, Thad (Dana) Hulbert, and Tonya Hulbert; her siblings Charles Frisbee, Loretta Hoyt, and Elaine Bastian; and her grandchildren Andrew (Melody) Scott, Michelle (Greg) Shippos, Justin Scott, Danielle Dinsmore, Kathryn Dinsmore, Emily (Ian) Spafford, Abbey Stamp, Konner and Kamden Hulbert, Addison Alexander, Cierra (Travis) Wardwell, David, Hannah and Colten Chapman, as well as many great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Dottie was predeceased by her parents, Charles and Edna Frisbee, and her loving husband, Charles R. Hulbert. She will be remembered fondly by those who knew her, and she leaves behind a family who will carry forward their own cherished memories of her.
