Dorothy Elizabeth (Davis) Parker

Dorothy Elizabeth Davis Parker, known affectionately as “Dot” or “Ms. Dot” to family and friends, was born on March 13, 1939, in Lenoir County to William Forest Davis and Callie Lofton Davis. She passed away on March 13, 2026, at Kitty Askins Hospice Center in Goldsboro at the age of 87.

A devoted member of St. Luke Missionary Baptist Church in Mount Olive, Dorothy served faithfully on the Mother Board. She was the beloved wife of the late Leonard Parker and is now reunited with her parents and her siblings Neicy Moore, William Forest Davis Jr., Edwin A. Davis, Willie R. Davis, Shelvia Jean Edwards, and Otha Davis.

She leaves to cherish her memory her children, Karen Davis Wright of Faison, Michael A. Parker (Lanorfeia) of Eads, Tennessee, and Laura M. Parker of Huntersville; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; her siblings Shirley R. Wells of Wilson, Rev. James A. Davis (Jean) of Wilson, Mamie D. Sherard of Goldsboro, and Gloria Gail Hardy of Goldsboro; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
