Dorothy "Dottie" Brown

Dorothy “Dottie” Brown, 92, of Eustis, Florida, passed away peacefully on March 12, 2026, in Tavares, Florida. Born on March 23, 1933, in Hindman, Kentucky, to Willie and Nora Gayheart, she lived a life marked by quiet devotion and generous care for those around her.

A longtime member of Pine Lakes Baptist Church, Dottie found great pleasure in her Indian artifact club, where she explored history and formed lasting friendships. She delighted in gardening, cooking, and looking after others, often sharing vegetables and flowers from her garden, warm meals, and a patient, listening ear.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Brown; her parents; two sisters; two brothers; and her eldest son, Rick Brown. Dottie is survived by her sons Tim Brown, Greg (Dawn) Brown, and Chris Brown; her grandchildren Payton (Cameron) Ford, Abby (Tucker) Marrillia, Bailey Brown, Ryan Brown, Emily (Connor) Ross, and Jessica Strong; and her great-grandchildren James Ross and Aiden Bowman. Her dear sisters remain to carry forward the love and legacy she so gently shared.
