Doris Peltz ObituaryObituary published on Legacy.com by McCausland Garrity Marchesani Funeral Home & Crematory on Mar. 7, 2026.Doris Lorraine Peltz, age 94 of Glenolden, passed away peacefully on March 1, 2026 surrounded by her family.Born in Philadelphia, Doris was the daughter of the late Horace and Mary Holden. She graduated from Bartram High School and attended Pierce Business School. Doris worked as telephone operator at the Presbyterian Board and Answering Service Dispatch. She also worked for Interboro School District as a receptionist,and at the Bryn Mawr Thrift Shop.Doris is predeceased by her loving husband, the late John H. Peltz, who passed away on December 12, 2025, to whom she was married for almost 73 years. She was also predeceased by her parents, Horace L. Holden, Jr. and Mary Holden, as well as her brother Linwood Holden and sister Marylyn Holden.Doris was a member of Aldan Union Church and previously Colwyn Baptist Church where she was active with the Gleaners class which helped with planning showers, funerals and various church banquets. She was also a long time member of the Glenolden Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary.Doris enjoyed summers with family and friends at the Glenolden and Folcroft Swim Clubs. She vacationed in Ocean City, NJ where she enjoyed spending time with her family, the beach, boardwalk and especially her Johnson's Caramel Popcorn. She and John later enjoyed vacationing in Chincoteague, VA with their children and grandchildren.Doris had a generous heart and a ready smile for those she loved. She had a quiet faith and trust in the Lord, and was a prayer warrior for her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.Survivors: Doris was a loving mother to Dave (Sherry) Peltz, Mark (Kim) Peltz and Mary Beth (Dave) Frank; she was a cherished Nanny to Brian (Theresa), Lauren, Kaleigh,Rachel, Hannah, Makayla, and Sarah and to her great-grandchildren Oliver, Paisley, Rory, and Blakely: dear sister of Evelyn (Ed) Ballinger and many nieces and nephews.Memorial Service: 12PM Saturday, March 14, 2026 at Aldan Union Church, 7 E. Providence Rd. Aldan, PA 19018Visitation: 10:30AM - 11:45AM at Aldan Union ChurchA private family burial will take place at Washington Crossing Veterans Cemetery.In lieu of flowers, contributions to Aldan Union Church, 7 E.
